There are technically 180 days in six months. However, most people generally consider a month to be around 30 days long. So, in reality, there are usually only 150-155 days in six months.
But why do we have this discrepancy? Well, it all has to do with the way our calendar is designed. The average month is actually closer to 28.5 days long. But our calendar uses a 31-day cycle for months with 31 days (January, March, May, July, August, October, and December) and a 30-day cycle for months with 30 days (April, June, September, and November).
This means that, on average, a month is actually 4.348 days longer than 28.5 days. And when you multiply that by six, you get 26.088… or about 26 extra days in a six-month period. So technically, there are 180 days in six months… but only if you consider a month to be exactly 28.5 days long, which hardly anyone does. In reality, there are usually only 150-155 days in six months.
