Hans Warren Christie (born November 4, 1975) is a British Canadian television and film actor who has played Ray Cataldo on the ABC drama October Road and Aidan “Greggy” Stiviletto on the ABC comedy series Happy Town. Hans Warren Christie was born on November 4, 1975, in Belfast, Northern Ireland but spent most of his childhood in London, Ontario. He is the son of Barbara Gordon and Darrell Christie. He moved with his family to England at a young age, where he spent some years before moving back to Canada. Christie then grew up in Mississauga (a city near Toronto).
After being recruited to play college football, he moved to Windsor, Ontario, where he enrolled at the University of Windsor. After his years at Windsor, Christie got interested in performing and decided to pursue it as a career. He initially moved to Vancouver to pursue acting work, soon discovered.
After graduating from University, Hans started his professional career as an actor at Theatre Columbus in the production of “A Midsummer Night’s Dream.” He then moved to Vancouver to appear on the TV series Stargate SG-1 as Major Coburn, an alien fighter pilot who is also the lover of one of the stargate team members.
Since then, Christie has appeared in numerous films and television shows such as Dead Like Me, The 4400, Flash Gordon, The Messengers, and The Listener. He also appeared in the TV series October Road on which he plays Ray Cataldo, a teenage father who puts his child for adoption.
Christie has worked in several genres and roles. He starred opposite Heather Graham in the romantic comedy Gray Matters before appearing in the psychological thriller Beneath, produced by the Napoleon Dynamite team with MTV Films/Paramount Classics. He also appeared in the drama If I Only Had Christmas, opposite Julie Benz and Academy Award nominee Bruce Dern. In all of his roles, Christie sought to show the human side of the characters he portrayed.
