Samuel Hunt (Samuel Caleb Hunt, born October 10, 1986) is an American actor who is recognized for his recurring part as Greg “Mouse” Gerwitz in the drama series Chicago Fire and Chicago PD after a wide range of independent films, as Xavier Rosen in the third season of Empire, and as Louis Zamperini in Unbroken: Path to Redemption, which he portrayed World War II veteran and evangelist Louis Zamperini. In addition, he played the protagonist in a 2018 film named ‘Unbroken: Path to Redemption.

Samuel Caleb Hunt was born on October 10, 1986, in Los Angeles, California. He has two siblings, Sam Hunt & Esther Hunt. He is the son of Chantelle Hunt and Paul Hunt. His father worked as a firefighter for the Los Angeles County Fire Department, and his mother owned and operated an exercise equipment company called “Bodies by Julia.”
Samuel went to El Camino Real High School and obtained his education there. He then joined the UCLA (University of California, Los Angeles) as he wanted to study filmmaking and graduated in 2008 with a bachelor’s degree in Theater Arts. He currently lives in Los Angeles, California. His mother used to take him to see summer Shakespeare productions at the local community park.
